I thought I would show where my ideas come from. Sometimes it's a couple of different photos pulled together to get the desired painting.

Work in progress -- just the basic stuff in -- now to add the details, get the window reflections better, shadows, highlights, etc.Wiscassett, Maine
OK -- I think I'm done, but will let it simmer for a while. I may fiddle with it more. Haven't signed it yet.

Winter Wolves

Winter Wolves -- $200

another one hour painting -- 11 x 14 SOLD

Monday, March 26, 2012

This is a one hour painting! Amazing workshop by an accomplished artist...and little tips and advice. I just started quickly filling in. 11 x 14  $200

Side Porch

This is one of the acrylic paintings, before I switched over to oils. I found acrylics easier to paint until I understood more about oils. Acrylic is a funny animal. You have to be quick in order to blend colors. This is a large painting, 24 x 30. $500

This photo had lots of detail in it. What a challenge! But I tried to pick out the important stuff. It really didn't take me long to paint. The sky is bluer than the actual photo. (sold)

Kayaks at Waldoboro

From a photo my cousin took. Learning more about rocks and water....

Wet Winter's night

Oh what fun this was! I had help from my fellow artists. Loved doing a night scene for a change!
approx. 16 x 20 *SOLD*
